Zapf's civilité disclosed : adorned with terse & pithy apothegms

One hundred & seventy-five copies of Zapf's Civilité Discloses were printed by The Gehenna Press during the hot summer of 1995. The types were cast by Harold Berliner of Nevada City, Calif. Arthur Larson of Hadley, Mass. composed & printed the book on Magnani, an Italian mould-made paper. The book has been handsomely hand-bound by Claudia Cohen of Easthampton, Mass. The edition is arranged as follows: Copies numbered 1-25 are printed on Arnold Vellum, an English paper, hand-made in teh 1950's & contain a woodcut portrait of Hermann Zapf signed & numbered by the artist and a set of pages alternately achieved on Magnani. Copies numbered 26-175 comprise the regular edition. All copies are signed by the former of these designs, Leonard Baskin. This is copy number [83]. [Gesigneerd door Leonard Baskin].
