Frankenstein; or, The modern Promeheus. was printed by Harold P. McGrath at Pennyroyal Press, West Hatfield, Massachusetts. The types are Poliphilus and Blado with Wilhelm Klingsproschrift, composed and cast at the type foundry of Michael and Winifred Bixler, Skaneateles, New York. Considerable hand composition was done by Arthur Larson and Chase Twichell at the Press. The book was printed on Pulegium, and archival paper manufactured to our specifications by the Strathmore Paper Company, Woronoco, Massachusetts. The binding is the work of Sam Ellenport, Harcourt Bindery, Boston. The calligraphy on the spine of the book is the work of Yvette Rutledge. The epigraph from "Speeches for Dr. Frankenstein" is printed with the permission of Margaret Atwood. The bronze medallion on the slipcase of the deluxe edition was struck from an original design by Barry Moser. The printing was completed in the autumn of 1983.
