Five hundred copies of this book have been printed and bound at the University Press, Cambridge for presentation by the University Printer to friends in printing and publishing. Christmas 1955. This book is set in Monotype Baskerville and printed on Spicer's Precision Cartridge. The marbled paper used in the binding was made by Douglas Cockerell and Son of Letchworth. The frontispiece was printed by collotype by Van Leer and Company of Amsterdam. The blocks of the drawings are of magnesium alloy, etched by the Dow process by Siviter Smith and Company of Birmingham. The book was printed and bound at the University Press, Cambridge.
