Katoomba : The Wayzgoose Press, 2000

This is the third in a series of four monographs concerned with the evolution of reading traditions and book practices over the past 2000 years. Written, designed and produced entirely at the press by Mike Hudson and Jadwiga Jarvis. The DEAD END illustration was adapted from a Kelmscott Press bookplate and printed from a block. Hand set in the following typefaces: Main text in 14 pt. Plantin, captions in 14 pt. Bembo, the centre spread in a range of 14 pt. Univers, Bembo and Perpetua printed over wood type, and the quotation from Mother Goddam in 12 pt. Gill Sans. Printed letterpress on Mohawk Superfine 148 gsm and sewn into Tomohawk 216 gsm covers.
