The typographic style, spelling and text of the first edition has been followed for this publication. The pagination, including the leap that left the number 20 on the stone (but not it's text) is new. The type is Baskerville, which I trust would have found sympathy with Goldsmith's eye. 160 copies have been printed on an Arab platen, and all will be hand bound. Copies numbered 1 to 50 are signed by Peter S. Carter who made the title page illustration as a timely reminder of how things change yet remain the same. Copy number [54].
