Fleischman on punchcutting was designed and set by hand by Bram de Does in 12-point Fleischman Roman No. 65 and Italic No. 66 (1738), with four point leading, combined with 54-point Rosart Initials No. 780 (1744), generously made available by Joh. Enschedé, Haarlem, which had cast these types (with the exception of some accented letters) from the original matrices at the beginning of this century. In order to set the text the pages of C. Gerretson, Geschiedenis der 'Koninklijke' (1932) had to be distributed. The book was printed letterpress by Bram de Does, Aartswoud, on his Victoria platen press using Zerkall Ivory. Erik Schots, Krommenie, bound a deluxe edition numbered 1-25 in half vellum, a standard edition numbered 26-175 in strong paper made from linen rags, and 55 copies numbered I-LV which are not for sale. The endpapers of the standard edition and the cover paper of the deluxe edition were marbled by Bram de Does. The book is distributed by Minotaurus Boekwinkel...This is number [37].
