The text is set in various sizes of Trump Mediaeval; the prologue and epilogue are in twelve point Wallau designed by Rudolf Koch. This is a drawer of type purchased in May 1936 by Arthur Rushmore and was given to the Janus Press by John Anderson of the Pickering Press. The illustrations were printed from the original blocks cut by the artist with the help of Chris Manges' generous sharing of his library of birds, bugs and beasts. The paper is Promatco Heavy Library Endleaf with Fabriano for the end sheets and was handbound with printed Belgian linen of boards by James Bicknell. Errata Somehow page 8 acquired the numeral 7, on page 15 there is an extra AN and on page 16 an extra HIS; these errors slipped by five proof readers to teach us humility.
